About the Artist

Janet Snell
Lived in Akron, Ohio

"Both Sides of the Divide" merges the abstract elements with the green and orange head. The head is reaching for something--understanding, the exit-- but is blocked by the pink barrier. The shape reminds one of a boomerang, an observation on the changeability of such blocks. The painting is meant to be a whimsical comment on the inability of people to see what’s under their noses.
