The Library offers Outside Pick-Up Service at all locations, including Main Library, and drive-up window service at Main Library. Holds, including those available at the time of the Library’s closure, will be available by pick-up appointment only. (Appointments are not needed for items held at Main Library’s drive-up window.)

Outside Pick-Up appointments should only be scheduled after you have been notified that your holds are ready for pick-up.

Scheduling Your Appointment

  • Have you received a notification that your held items are ready for pick-up? It’s time to schedule your appointment!
  • Items must be picked up from the Library location where they are currently being held. If your pick-up location is Mobile Services, please call 330.643.9055 to arrange for pick-up at Main Library or the branch most convenient for you.
  • Use our online calendar to schedule the pick-up location, date, and time most convenient for you. If you are unable to schedule online, please call your holds location.
  • Enter the requested library account information in your appointment request.
  • Once you have submitted your appointment request, you will see a confirmation screen with your appointment details. You will also receive an e-mail confirmation and further Outside Pick-Up instructions.
  • Only a single appointment is needed to pick-up all of your holds – if it is here, we will have it ready for you!


When You Arrive For Your Appointment

  • Please arrive promptly at your scheduled time.
  • CALL the branch number listed on library signs to let us know you’ve arrived.
  • WAIT for your designated pick-up cart to be placed on the sidewalk in front of the Library.
  • RETRIEVE your items.
  • Please remain in your car until your designated pick-up cart is available.
  • If you are walking, arriving by bus, or biking, please maintain a 6-foot distance from other customers and from pick-up carts while you are waiting for your items.
  • If you have library items to return, place them in the book drop. Library staff cannot accept returned items.
