Public libraries create collections of items to be used by everyone to pursue their interests, further their education, and provide entertainment. Sharing, conservation of resources and the idea that you don’t have to have everything you need in your home are key to the idea of a central collection that everyone can use. The Akron-Summit County Public Library has been adding to traditional library resources and currently has multiple Library of Things (LoT) collections for you to borrow.

Looking for a family friendly activity?

Enjoy a Lucky Day family pass to local, fun and enriching organizations. Each pass is a seasonal family pass meaning at least 2 adult and 2 children can enter. Passes can be checked out for 3 days to be used during each organizations open hours. Passes are first come, first serve. Please note each pass guidelines may vary and passes cannot be used for special events or tickets. Some passes are available at your local branch. Due to high use we encourage you to call and check or ask at the front desk for availability. We hope you have a fun visit!
