The Akron-Summit County Public Library helps you meet your learning goals with our new program, Peer to Peer University (P2PU).
“I’ve always wanted to know more about …”
In October, the Akron-Summit County Public Library will, for the first time, be joining libraries around the world in bringing online courses and learners together to learn socially. Neighbors and co-learners will meet for in-person, peer-supported learning circles to explore online classes through Peer to Peer University (P2PU). With P2PU, all classes are chosen and facilitated by librarians, while class participants bring experiences, perspectives, and questions that shape discussion and build a community of learners committed to course completion and individual personal and professional development.
Class participants will explore story creation, presentation skills, music-making, and more. Meeting at Main Library and select branch libraries for 90-minute sessions over 4 to 8 weeks, participants will set learning goals to be pursued in a mutually supportive community of learners.
What does learning in a learning circle look like?
Classes begin in October and space is limited. For course descriptions and registration, visit the Library Events Calendar. For more information about Peer-to-Peer University, please visit www.p2pu.org.
