Addiction Treatment & Education Resources in Summit County
The opiate crisis is hitting Akron and Summit County brutally hard. Compiled by library staff, this uniquely local resource details options for addicts and their loved ones. Copies are available at Akron Summit County Main Library in the Business and Government Division or inquire at our branches. Additionally, feel free to make your own copies from our publication PDF.

About the Division

The Business & Government Division has information on education and literacy, careers and job hunting, true crime, transportation, American and world history, companies, small business, management, real estate, mutual funds, personal finance, credit and investing. The social sciences include relationships, adoption, parenting, families, aging, politics and economics. The Ohio Revised Code and the Ohio Legal Forms database are supplemented by popular do-it-yourself legal books.

The Martin Luther King Collection focuses on Dr. King and the civil rights movement.

The investment collection includes newsletters and guides that provide thorough analysis. You can find advice from well known publishers like Richard Russell of the Dow Theory Letter or a local expert in The Peter Dag Portfolio. The Value Line Investment Survey provides current stock performance details.

We maintain most of the Library's government documents including the U. S. Code and the Code of Federal Regulations. As a congressionally designated depository since 1952, the Akron-Summit County Public Library selects publications originating from various agencies of the federal government.

The Nonprofit Resource Center is a Funding Information Network partner of the Foundation Center and provides free access to a core set of Foundation Center resources, both print and electronic, which are useful to grantseekers and nonprofits.
