Looking for seed money to start your business? Need a financial bump to take your idea to the next level? Main Library's second annual pitch competition includes cash prizes and a networking reception.
Experienced business professionals and library staff will serve as independent judges, reviewing applications from local entrepreneurs, who will then compete for prize money to kickstart or expand their businesses.
Grand prize: $3,000
Second prize: $1,500
Third prize: $750
StartUp Akron Pitch Competition will be held on Wednesday, September 18. The evening will open with a reception and will feature exhibits by local small business assistance organizations at 5 pm. The Pitch Competition will begin at 6 pm.

Application
All applicants for the StartUp Akron Pitch Competition must submit this application (forthcoming) by 6pm, Sunday, August 25, 2024
All pitch applications will be reviewed by the StartUp Akron Pitch Competition Committee. Applicants selected to compete in the Pitch Competition will be notified by the Committee by September 3 and invited to Pitch on September 18, 2024.
If selected, applicants must be available on September 18, 2024 to present their pitch on stage in the Main Library Auditorium. Pitches cannot be longer than three minutes.
