Delayed Openings Planned On September 24 For Libraries Along Akron Marathon Routes

Main Library in downtown Akron and two neighborhood branch libraries will open later on Saturday, September 24.

• Due to the High Street closure, Main Library will open at noon.

• Due to the Aster Avenue closure, Firestone Park Branch will open at 10:30 a.m.

• Due to the West Market Street closure, Highland Square Branch will open at 2 p.m.

The late openings will help library customers avoid traffic disruptions near Main Library and in the Highland Square and Firestone Park areas anticipated with the Akron Marathon Race Series.
