Volunteering is a great way to get to know your neighbors and other book lovers while supporting the Friends of the Library!

The Friends of the Portage Lakes Branch Library is non-profit organization committed to supporting the work of the Library.

  • We raise funds for library projects and activities through book sales, an on-going donation cart, memberships, and other Friends fund raising programs.
  • We purchase flowers for beautification, special materials, furniture, and sponsor special events throughout the year to support the Library’s programs, collections, and buildings.
  • We support the mission of the Library in the community.

Donations of books, CDs, DVDs are gladly accepted year-round for our sales. Receipts for tax purposes are available at the front desk.
