    Resource Spotlight
    Music Online

Don't forget to bring your headphones next time you visit the Library as we have added five new music databases to the Akron-Summit County Public Library's list of reference resources!

Music Online allows the user to interact through song downloads. Find songs by and about American Indians, miners, immigrants and cowboys on American Song. African American Music documents the history of jazz, blues, and other forms of musical expression of the genre. Classical Music Library is a comprehensive database of distinguished classical recordings. Complementing each other are Contemporary World Music and Smithsonian Global Sound for Libraries as they take listeners around the globe to experience the vibrancy, history, customs, politics, personalities, struggles and joys of diverse peoples and cultures.

These database resources are available for use at the Main Library and Branches as well as from your home or office computer. For more information please contact Audio Visual Services at 330-643-9015.
