Your Akron-Summit County Public Library card opens the door to a world of information and entertainment. Use your card to check out a wide variety of materials from any library location or access the Internet on library computers. Have your own device? Use it to borrow digital media, including ebooks, magazines, movies and music from the comfort of your own home – 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Your card also gives you instant access to many of the library's research databases from your home, office or school computer.
How do I Get a Library Card?
Anyone living, working, or attending school in Ohio may obtain a library card free of charge at any ASCPL location. Children may obtain a library card with the consent of a parent or legal guardian. When applying for a card, we prefer to see a photo ID with current address. Since that is not always possible, we will accept a photo ID and another form of current address verification, such as a piece of mail.
