Location: Main Library - Information Technology Department
Hours: Full-Time (37.5 hours), including evening and weekend hours
Salary: Grade 9, $17.12/hour
Responsibilities include supporting the Library’s end-users in diagnosing & resolving simple hardware and software issues involving internet connectivity, email, phones, printers, copiers, Office Suite, library software, and more; delivers service and support including, but not limited to, resolving username and password problems, uninstalling and reinstalling software applications, verifying proper hardware and software set up, power cycling equipment, and troubleshooting email issues for end-users by phone and via remote PC connection; support involves clearly communicating technical solutions in a user-friendly, professional manner and includes receiving, prioritizing, documenting, and actively resolving end-user help requests. Works evening and weekends as assigned. Performs other duties as assigned.
Demonstrated problem-solving ability; ability to accurately access customer needs; excellent written and verbal communication skills; excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate in a user-friendly manner; strong documentation skills with keen attention to detail; experience with desktop operating systems; knowledge of common software, hardware, and peripheral equipment. Minimum high school education or equivalent required, two years of college level IT coursework preferred; work experience with end-user relations in IT preferred; IT industry recognized certifications preferred. Possession of a valid Ohio Driver’s license (work may involve traveling between ASCPL libraries) or the ability to obtain one is required.
