Hours: Full-Time (37.5 hours), including evening and weekend hours, not job-share eligible
Salary: Grade 17, $29.50/hour, exempt from overtime requirements
Under minimal supervision performs a variety of duties as related to the coordination of the Library’s Staff Training and Development Program; ensures that all levels of Library staff have the training required to provide the highest level of customer service to the public or in support of public service. Performs a variety of duties related to coordinating training activities for staff that align with and support the Library’s mission, values, and strategic goals and objectives, including designing, developing, sourcing, scheduling, facilitating, presenting, implementing, monitoring, evaluating, and documenting staff training. Performs other duties as assigned.
Demonstrated ability to accurately assess Library staff training needs and to source qualified trainers; demonstrated leadership skills to effectively direct employees while conducting training; excellent verbal and written communication skills and public speaking skills; excellent interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills. A Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of related coursework and work experience required; five years related experience in a training environment, including experience with adult instruction required; training certification credentials such as a Certified Professional in Learning and Performance offered by the American Society for Training and Development preferred; possession of a valid Ohio driver’s license or the ability to obtain one is required.
