Reserving STEM kits

Customers may reserve individual Kits by contacting the Science and Technology desk in person or by telephone.  A customer may have a maximum of 3 holds on STEM kits at any one time. STEM kits can be checked out for 2 weeks.  Reservation of these kits is done only by the Science and Technology Division so that we can schedule sets in advance.  Sets are in high demand so please plan ahead.   Please call 330-643-9075 to place a hold or to inquire about STEM kits.  A list of STEM Kits can be found in the Science and Technology Division at Main Library.  Or search STEM Kits in the library catalog to see a list of resources.

Renewing STEM kits

Due to the anticipated demand and the limited number of items, the STEM Kits cannot be renewed.

Borrowing Privileges

Borrowing privileges will be suspended when the amount of unpaid fines reaches $10.00.  Late return of STEM kits will result in the patron’s record becoming blocked, which will include requesting and renewing of materials as well as use of a library computer.  Please call Science and Technology if you are unable to return items on time, 330-643-9075.

Teen Classroom Sets

If you are a middle or high school teacher who is planning to have an entire class read the same book, you may want to reserve a Teen Classroom Set. Each set consists of 35 copies of a popular title packaged in sturdy bags and checked out as a unit for 1-6 weeks.

Here are the lists of the current titles that we have in book sets:
