    Join us on Saturday, October 1 for a day of learning about local archival collections and services and how you can care for archival materials you have at home.

  • Adoption & DNA Genealogy Research
    On Saturday, October 8, we welcome experts on these specialized areas of genealogy research. Betsie Norris, Executive Director of Adoption Network Cleveland, will discuss the law change that opened previously closed birth records to those adopted in Ohio from 1964-1996. Independent Genetic Genealogist Amanda Reno will cover the basic core knowledge required to identify an unknown parent(s) using genealogical DNA testing and traditional research techniques.

  • Late Night at the Library for Genealogists
    Special Collections and the Summit County Chapter of the Ohio Genealogical Society are teaming up once again for our annual after-hours genealogy event on Friday, October 21 from 6:30-10:30 pm.
