Preparing for an Adoption Search by Adoption Network Cleveland
Founded in 1988, Adoption Network Cleveland is a nonprofit educational, advocacy, support, and search group for people affected by adoption. It is a volunteer-based organization whose members include adult adoptees, birthparents, adoptive parents, families, and professionals who wish to openly explore adoption-related issues. Among the organization’s services are monthly search workshops and search assistance for its members (membership is $40/individual, and there is a one-time search fee of $25). As they begin their search, local members are required to attend at least two general meetings, which are held five times each month in locations throughout Cuyahoga, Summit, and Lake Counties, including Akron. For more information on Adoption Network Cleveland, visit http://www.adoptionnetwork.org/. No Preparing for an Adoption Search programs are currently scheduled. If you would like to request one please contact the Special Collections Division at speccollections@akronlibrary.org or 330.643.9030. |
