About the Digital Library

The exhibits presented here were created using Adobe Creative Suite 2 and Macromedia Dreamweaver 8. Although the original items presented here are unchanged, their digital counterparts were cropped and edited to suit the exhibit and the requirements of a digital presentation.

This digital library represents only one aspect of the Akron-Summit County Public Library's effort to improve access to information through electronic media. We also offer: downloadable audio books, chat reference service though Know it Now, homework help through Homework Now, electronic mail reference service through Ask-A-Librarian, as well as access to standardized tests and study guides through the Learning Express Library. Additionally, databases are made available to patrons outside of the library through the library's web site.
