Audio Visual Services is the center for the Akron-Summit County Public Library’s large and diverse collection of videotapes, cassettes, CDs, DVDs and CD-ROMs.

Our fiction video collection includes a wide selection of recent box office hits, critically acclaimed films from around the world, classics, animated award winners, and movies for children. Non-fiction videos cover everything from computers and religion to home repair, travel, sports, and the environment. These formats offer film buffs many new features like director’s commentaries and additional scenes.

Check out our collection of recorded music on compact discs and audio cassettes. We have thousands of titles covering classical, jazz, rock, country, gospel, and folk, as well as music from many countries and cultures. Looking for vintage radio, comedy, or sound effects? This is the place.

One of the most popular areas of the audio collection is Books on Tape. We have many fiction and non-fiction titles from which to choose.

Audio Visual Services also houses the multi-media collection of videos, 16mm films, and equipment (16mm and slide projectors, screens, etc.) that can be booked in advance for your business, school, church, or other organization.
