Busy Cooks
http://busycooks.about.com: Provides a number of categories to help sort out recipes - includes freezer friendly fare, crockpot recipes , make-a-mix recipes and the like. Geared toward helping the harried cook.
Epicurious
http://www.epicurious.com: The official site of Bon Appetit and Gourmet magazines. It includes a searchable index of recipes from those magazines as well as House and Garden. Also included is information on wine and spirits, restaurant reviews and travel information.

USDA Food Safety and Inspection Service
http://www.fsis.usda.gov/: The Food Safety and Inspection Service section of the United States Department of Agriculture provides this consumer education and information site. Find out about recalls, and how to cook and store food safely through their links to information.

Plant Facts
http://plantfacts.ohio-state.edu/: Over 20,000 pages of Extension fact sheets and bulletins provide a concentrated source of plant-related information.
Garden Guides
http://www.gardenguides.com: Many of short articles on general gardening subjects as well as particular vegetables, flowers and herbs.

http://www.gardens.com: This searchable database contains information on almost 3000 annuals, perennials, trees, shrubs and houseplants selected for general use in North America.
Landscape Plants: Images, Identification, and Information
http://oregonstate.edu/dept/ldplants/: Although this web site has been prepared by Oregon State University for its horticulture students, it can help one get an idea of the appearance of many trees, shrubs and vines in all seasons of the year. In addition there are photos of the leaves, fruits, buds and branches of the different species and an excellent map of hardiness zones. Even though the plants are on the Oregon campus, many of them can also be found in Ohio.

http://repair2000.com: This site can help you with your major appliance problems, including installation, operation and troubleshooting. Site contains free repair tips and has links for purchase of parts and repair manuals, as well.

Parenthood
http://parenthood.com/: A comprehensive source for great parenting, pregnancy, and childcare articles. This site also includes topics such as at-home moms issues, homeschooling and nutrition. Includes a chat room and newsletter.
La Leche League
http://www.lalecheleague.org/: The official site for this organization offers breastfeeding help, FAQs, information from their publications, advice on legal issues, and directories of local contacts.

National Safe Kids Campaign
http://www.safekids.com/: Dedicated to the prevention of childhood injury, this site offers a wealth of information, advice, and resources to promote child safety.


American Kennel Club
http://www.akc.org/: Official web site of the AKC, providing their breed standards, registration information, details of dogs in competition, AKC news and online store and a variety of other information about purebred dogs.
Cat Fanciers
http://www.fanciers.com/: Offering general information about cats and cat care, cat breed descriptions from Abyssinian to Turkish Van, an online Bookstore which benefits feline health research, a wide selection of cat shows, cat clubs and registries, the latest veterinary medicine documents and resources, breed rescue, feline welfare, and shelter information, and of course many links to other cat related sites.
