     Ohio birder resources
    http://aves.net/obr/
This very ambitious site documents bird sightings in our state. Vic Fazio, a local ornithologist, updates this site regularly, often several times a week. Unusual sightings and directions to the locations named as well as points to consider when checking out a rare or unexpected species are detailed. This site serves as a gathering point for information that is used in the decision making process to include a new species on the Ohio list. Also available are range maps from the breeding bird atlas and any of the updates provided in the breeding bird surveys. One can obtain a list of Ohio species with photos. Links will get you to email addresses of Ohio birders and to Ohio birding groups. Suggestions for areas to go bird watching and what to look for at those sites are also available.

Ohio's Watchable Wildlife shows where to look for wildlife in the state, as well as information on bird feeding, watching and identification.
