- An extensive site of U.S and foreign company information including 15,000 research
reports, 20,000 profiles, and over 1,000 links. Some foreign language company profiles
(French and Spanish) also available. Registration is required to use this site.
- Hoover's Online - The Business Network

- This prolific publisher of company and industry profiles has gone online.
The company information is enhanced by news features, stock quotes, IPO's, and
job search and resume posting for executives. Basic company information is provided free on this site, while detailed reports are available only to personal subscribers, or may be purchased online via a cridit card. Access is available in the library for pay content.

- Standard Industrial Classification (SIC)

- Find economic activity statistics on this site. The monthly Survey of Current
Business is now available online, too.
- Bureau of Labor Statistics

- The U.S. Dept. of Labor's Bureau of Labor Statistics manages all the government's
statistics on employment and labor issues. Their website offers statistical
services and publications.

- Information on the Bureau and the census. Click American Factfinder (left side of screen), and then click Enter a Street Address (left side, again) to get demographics for a particular neighborhood.
- Economic Statistics Briefing Room

- Access to current Federal economic indicators. Various agencies provide statistics on employment, transportation, production, income, crime, health , education, etc.

- Very helpful website with various demographics for Northeast Ohio: population
figures, estimates and projections, economic and education statistics, and profile reports on

- The Ohio Department of Development has great statistics on Ohio's population,
industries and economy. Information includes Ohio county profiles and Ohio industry reports
available in Adobe Acrobat format.
