School Days
Description
Education was always important to Tallmadge residents and the School Board met as early as 1865 to discuss the matter of establishing a high school. Because many townspeople feared that such a school would prevent their children from helping with farm work, it wasn’t until 1878 that voters approved a high school. Pictured above is a classroom from the high school.
