Description
U.S. Stoneware came to Tallmadge in 1927, purchasing the facility from Akron Vitrified Clay Manufacturing Company. The Tallmadge plant became the main office for the seventeen plants operated by U.S. Stoneware throughout Ohio and New York. Their chief product was chemical processing equipment . By 1957, a new plant was under construction on the north side of East Avenue.
