Description
Tallmadge offered good deposits of clay suitable for the manufacture of earthenware. The factory pictured here was built along the tracks of the Atlantic and Great Western Railroad. Originally, it produced crockery and then drain tile. After the facility burned and was rebuilt, it was purchased by Ingall Thronson, pictured here with Philip and Christian Meyers. He operated it until 1904 when another fire destroyed the plant.
