Description
Tallmadge Township, originally known as Town 2 Range 10 of the Connecticut Western Reserve was laid out as many New England towns were. Seven and one half acres at the center of the township were set aside for the town hall and church. Both of these buildings are visible in this image and still stand today. Tallmadge Circle is where all of the main roads in the township converge. As the township grew, the aerial view of the circle changed. Click here to see it in 1933 and in the 1970s.
