Description
This sign advertising Furnas Ice Cream was once on East Avenue in Tallmadge. Furnas Ice Cream was an Indiana company started by Robert W. Furnas and was publicized as the manufacturer of “standard ice creams and fruit ices.” The local factory was located at 42 North Broadway in Akron from about 1909 to the early 1940s, when it was purchased by Borden.
