Description
In 1907, the community of Tallmadge celebrated its first 100 years as a township. Postcards were sold as souvenirs to commemorate the centennial celebration. This postcard features the Circle Park at West Avenue, where the festivities were held on June 27, 1907. The 4.5 acres of the park include the Historic Tallmadge Church and the Old Town Hall. In the early 1800s, geese, sheep, pigs and cows roamed the park, and at one time, the park was fenced. Throughout the decades, Circle Park has served as the focal point of Tallmadge community functions.
