Description
In this letter to her sister, Nancy Blakeslee, Betsy recounts some of the details of her journey from her original home in New England to Tallmadge in the fall of 1833.  Betsy had married Edwin Upson on September 4, 1833.  In addition to her description of the journey, she tells her sister of her new living quarters and describes her new neighbors as friendly and helpful.  To read a transcript, click here.
