Description
The Four Square Gospel Church, organized in March,1941 as a Sunday school, met in the home of James Blakney. For several months the congregation met in a tent erected on the site of the future church. Construction of the basement began under the leadership of Reverend Marion Lindsay in late 1941. In December of that year, the first service was held in the basement church. The main sanctuary, completed in 1943, was constructed under the pastorate of Reverend Elmer Garber.
