Description
The Tallmadge Methodist Episcopal Church was built in 1875.  A two story structure, it included a first floor Sunday school and a second floor sanctuary.  It was the first church building in Tallmadge to be heated with a coal furnace.  Church membership continued to grow, reaching its highest peak around 1950.  In 1962, a new church was built at 207 North Munroe Road, and, in 1968 the name changed to Tallmadge United Methodist Church. The site of this building, at the corner of South Avenue, became parking space for Bumpas Drugstore.
