Description
Our Lady of Victory church was established by Archbishop Edward F. Hoban on December 8, 1944.  The congregation was made up of 48 families and they attended mass in the upper room of the Town Hall until the groundbreaking of the church on May 8, 1945.  Father James M. Gallagher was appointed as the first pastor. The first mass was celebrated on December 24, 1945 at midnight.  The church and rectory are still located on North Avenue.
