Description
Now known as the “Old Town Hall” in Tallmadge, this building was constructed in 1859 to house the Tallmadge Academy and the offices of the town government.  In 1974, when it was placed on the National Register of Historic Places, the Tallmadge Historical Society established their headquarters and a permanent museum in the building. The original bell and bell tower on the building were removed in 1932 and the bell disappeared. The bell tower was finally replaced in 2003 after the city and community raised funds to renovate the historic structure.
