Description
The Akron Public Library's first branch library was opened in 1920 in the Club House of the Firestone Tire & Rubber Company. Firestone provided the space and the Library provided books and staff. The branch was relocated to the former Firestone Post Office building in 1938. It remained at this location until 1968 when Firestone requested that the space be returned to the company.
