Description
A citizens group, the Bath Library Association successfully lobbied to obtain a portion of the intangibles tax for the construction and operation of a new library to serve the communities of Fairlawn, Bath, and Copley. The McDowell Branch, named for long-time Library board member, C. Blake McDowell, was dedicated in December 1971. In 2003, the McDowell branch was razed to make room for the newly named Fairlawn-Bath Branch which opened in February 2004.
