Description
The Akron Library Association was preceded by the Akron Lecture Association. This subscription library maintained a reading room and presented lectures for the community. In 1866, it was incorporated as the Akron Library Association and began what was to become Akron's first circulating library. This clipping (source unknown) announced the association's 1866-67 lecture series.
