Description
Storytelling is an important component of library service to children. Storytelling programs were first implemented during the tenure of Library Director, Maude Herndon in the 1920s. Story hours continue to play an important role in service to children. Main Library and branches provide weekly programs for children of all ages and in 2005 offered more than 3700 programs.
