Description
In 1958, the East Franklin Community Council oversaw a fundraising project to raise funds to create a branch library for the Manchester community. In 1961, the Manchester Branch opened  in a newly constructed commercial building on West Nimisila Road. When the new Portage Lakes branch opened in 1990, the collections and services of the Manchester and Coventry branches were combined.
